Performer Nitrous Kit
The next step!  50-100 hp nitrous shot.
Proposed wiring diagram, probably overkill, but OK. No Hobbs (fuel pressure switch) because I'd been told and also read on several forums that they are notoriously inaccurate. Simplicity is the key to reliability.

21 Jan 07 Performer Nitrous Kit  Installation
I relocated the the brake vacuum line to a hole drilled and tapped in the side of the Victor Jr. manifold as called out in the Edelbrock instructions.
Nitrous solenoid is to the drivers rear. The Edelbrock brackets worked well for the solenoids, not so good for the WOT switch.
The fuel solenoid gets mounted close to the carb. It has a really short hose as compared to the nitrous solenoid line. I wonder if that is to assist in the gas getting to the spray bars just before the nitrous or at the same time?
I fabricated a small bracket for the WOT micro-switch and added a small roller on the throttle linkage to positively ensure the switch will be activated.
Another view of the switch.
Nitrous system fuel plumbing.

27 Jan 07 More Performer Nitrous Kit  Installation
The fuel solenoid tucks up under the air filter. I used a gauge adapter to connect the nitrous system fuel line to the main feed.
I took an AN-4 bulkhead fitting and turned the short end on the lathe to use as a purge nozzle.
Shifter activation button. What a pain. I had to re-thread the end of the shift lever to the proper size so the Mr. Gasket ball would fit and change back to the straight shifter.
A new twist. Classic Instruments does not make a nitrous pressure gauge, bummer -- I wanted all my dash gauges to look the same. I bought an AutoMeter gauge and put it in the rear panel between the seats in a mock dash.  I still have to get an angle bezel for it and cover the "dash" with vinyl. The two switches are for the bottle opener and heater.  The arm and purge switches will be hidden.

The gauges are far enough apart where it looks just fine, pretty cool actually. To get to the switches is a bit of a stretch, but for as often as I'll use the nitrous, it'll do.

4 Feb 07 Mallory Hi-Fire
I replaced the old ignition unit with a Mallory Hi-Fire with built in timing retard, rev limiting and auxiliary rev limiter -- several less boxes under the hood and dash.
Nitrous pressure gauge is plumbed into the feed line, If I measured right, the bottle should clear the body and trunk.
Read Dash covered with matt black vinyl to match the front.
Purge solenoid and line! Trying to come up with a cool place for the purge nozzles.

The bottle just clears, its better to be lucky than good.
