Frame

A brace for the 3-link bracket is installed.

Powder coating is removed the control arms by hitting them with a torch and later sandblasting.

21 May 2010  Dead Pedal

Dead pedal to match the Wildwood pedals. The pedal itself is 1/4 steel shaped to match and the bracket is two pieces of 16 gage sheet metal. The string is holding the Wildwood pedals in there approximate place while the dead pedal is welded in place. All that is left to do now is the final sanding and finishing.

A few pieces of square tubing are welded in to stiffen the front a little. Probably not needed, but it looks cool.

31 May 2010  Drive Shaft Safety Loop

A Summit Racing loop is installed, pretty much the same as as the Roadster, hey if it works....

The loop is offset to the passenger side about an inch, but I slotted the mounts to allow for some side to side adjustment.

It now needs to be sanded or blasted to remove the powder coating for paint in the future.

13 June 2010  Covers and Another Brace

I added 18 gauge covers over the open ends of the various tubes. Nothing fancy just something to keep the crud out and seal the tubes.

I also added a diagonal brace to the upper frame  frame. I had a difficult time getting the torch in there, have to grind it off and re-weld it after the axle is removed before painting the frame.
